Many Washington tourists and local residents alike use the Internet to plan their visit
to the National Mall. But once they arrive, they are unplugged and have no quick online
access to the information they need.
One of Open Park's goals is to reduce this information gap by providing the public with
immediate on-site accesss to the wealth of Internet based information about Mall
activities -- museum events, speeches, festivals, demonstrations and other public
gatherings.
